Arlene Strom has worked extensively with Indigenous communities, particularly in Canada. She is  
a lawyer by training and has worked in various leadership positions including as General Counsel,  
Chief Sustainability Officer, and Chair of the Inclusion and Diversity Council at Suncor, one of the  
largest Canadian energy companies. In those roles, she has successfully collaborated with peer  
companies, governments, Indigenous communities, and environmental NGOs, notably leading efforts  
that have resulted in more than $3 billion in equity partnerships with Indigenous companies and  
creation of an Indigenous Youth Council representing future leaders. Arlene serves on the boards or  
advisory communities of various civic and arts organizations, university committees, and government  
advisory councils.
