Judy Gans

Judy Gans is the President of the Joe Kalt & Judy Gans Family Foundation. She is a 2003 graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School’s Mid-Career Master in Public Administration Program. From 2005-2015, Judy directed the Program in Immigration Policy at the University of Arizona’s Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy, focusing her work on data-driven analyses of the economic effects of US immigration patterns and policy. She currently serves on the board of directors of Imago Dei Middle School in Tucson, AZ, one of the very few tuition-free schools for children from low-income families in the U.S. Judy has also served on the board of directors of the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona and was named Woman of the Year by the Foundation in 2014. She grew up (ages 6-18) in Bahia, northeastern Brazil and is fluent in Portuguese. Judy is a graduate of both UCLA (MBA, 1978) and Stanford University (BA in Economics, 1974), and the spouse of the co-founder of the Harvard Project, Joe Kalt.
